Day one in Firenze, Italia. Complete. This is the view from my bedroom window. Mi dispiace, let me repeat that...THIS IS THE VIEW FROM MY BEDROOM WINDOW.
This apartment is insane. I am on the 5th floor of an apartment literally right next to the Study Center where all of my classes are and where there are a ton of gelaterias and exquisite Italian ristorantes. I spent most of the day wandering about Florence. I saw Ponte Vecchio multiple times and Il Duomo-which you can see in the picture is in the background. I am running on about 2 hours of sleep over the past 48 hours but that's okay. My roommates are awesome! Cristel and I share a room with this spectacular view and we have an amazing kitchen, 3 bathrooms, living room, and there is even a washing machine and clothes line to hang clothes to dry. We really lucked out though-so many of our friends are dispersed all around Florence, some even a 35 minute walk away from the study center. I had my first taste of fresh pasta today at a little restaurant right by our apartment and Piazza Spirito. I am really getting to practice my Italian and communicate with the locals, but a lot of them do speak English, which makes it easy, but hopefully I'll still get lots more practice to perfect my language.

Sto innamorando di questa citta.

Buonanotte.
